On 11 December 2020, the United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization (UNESCO). In the 210th session of the executive council, a decision was taken to award the biennial "UNESCO-Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman International Prize in the Field of Creative Economy" in the name of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
