On 30 October 2017, UNESCO recongnized Sheikh Mujib's 7 March speech as part of the World Documentary Heritage. On 11 December 2020, the United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization (UNESCO). In the 210th session of the executive council, a decision was taken to award the biennial "UNESCO-Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman International Prize in the Field of Creative Economy" in the name of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The The award will be presented during the 41st General Session of UNESCO in November 2021.
